Welcome to Ewa Stanecka personal web site
I am an associate professor and a group leader at the Henryk Niewodniczanski Institute of Nuclear Physics Polish Academy of Sciences and active member of the ATLAS collaboration. For my PhD I worked on the development, construction and commissioning of the Strip Semiconductor Tracker in ATLAS experiment, and on physics simulations for background rejection in searches for the Higgs boson in MSSM scenarios. After obtaining PhD in 2008 I spent five years at CERN as a fellow and visiting scientist working on the ATLAS Inner Detector and Beam Condition Monitor based on diamond sensors. I am interested in the large scale control systems and instrumentation for the high energy physics experiments. Currently I am involved in the upgrade program of the ATLAS experiment on High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC), in particular in the Inner Tracker Strip detector.
Research interests: tracking detectors, large scale detector control system, instrumentation for high energy physics experiments.
